Dr. Mohammed Abdul Quddus

Brief Biography: Dr. Quddus is a Professor of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) in the School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering at Loughborough University, UK. He received his PhD on ITS from Imperial College London in 2006 and a Master of Engineering from the National University of Singapore. Over the last 15 years, Professor Quddus has conducted cutting-edge research in transport leading to innovative, influential and transformative outcomes in the areas of safety modeling, connected and autonomous vehicles and traffic microsimulation,   His seminal papers on map-matching algorithms have been very highly cited by researchers world-wide. He has directed more than 20 national and international research projects as principal or co-investigator with a total budget of about £4m. To date he has mentored 20 PhD researchers and served as committee member for 15 PhD examinees at various institutions. So far, he has authored/co-authored a total of 100 journal articles, 90 conference papers, 4 book chapters and 12 technical reports that has accumulated a total of 7400+ citations from researchers all around the world.
